Formal female meshes with fixedtexture map

update 30-08-2004: changed SSP URL
update 03-12-2006: oops, simply copying Fit UVmap to Fat/Skn
was't a good idea! UVmaps corrected.

When I made the crescent top for Queen Beryl's dress, which had
been constructed from the F100 female formal mesh, I noticed the
crescents showed up horribly warped no matter how symmetrically
drawn they were on the skin. (Well, horribly warped... In close-up.
In the game, it's barely visible.) The cause was an asymmetrical
texture map. No Sims mesh has a perfect texture map, but some
irregularities are more glaring than others.

So I fixed the texture map and copied it back into the F100
meshes (or the FFFat, FFFit and FFSkn meshes, for people who don't
have Hot Date or later). Finding that the B325FatFit mesh was just
a copy of FFFit, I put the new texture map in that as well, and
copied the fat and skinny formal meshes to B325 meshes. (Maxis
does have this annoying habit of making a mesh available to Fit
bodies only.) The meshes will overwrite default files, but the
shape of the meshes hasn't been changed, so it doesn't matter.

These files aren't terribly important as replacements for defaults,
but may be of use to someone who makes skins for the "gown" bodies
and wants them to come out looking right, or who makes meshes and
wants a good base to edit from.

As I'm replacing standard files, the names have not been shortened to a
Mac-friendly length. The best thing to do with them is shorten their
names using Namer.

File list:

normal wear files (put in GameData\Skins):

xskin-b325fafat_01-PELVIS-BODY.skn
xskin-b325fafit_01-PELVIS-BODY.skn
xskin-b325faskn_01-PELVIS-BODY.skn
b325fafat_01.cmx
b325fafit_01.cmx
b325faskn_01.cmx

pre-Hot Date formal (put in GameData\Skins):

xskin-fffat_01-PELVIS-BODY.skn
xskin-fffit_01-PELVIS-BODY.skn
xskin-ffskn_01-PELVIS-BODY.skn

Hot Date buyable files (put in ExpansionShared\SkinsBuy):

xskin-f100fafit_original-PELVIS-BODY.skn
xskin-f100fafit_original-PELVIS-BODY.skn
xskin-f100faskn_original-PELVIS-BODY.skn

The B325 meshes are renamed copies of the formal meshes.

These meshes are only improved versions of standard files. Do with
them whatever you like, but if you distribute them with custom skins,
it's best to mention they'll overwrite default files (and that this
won't make any difference in the game).

For technical problems with these files, I wrote something called the
Sims Support Page (http://www.simania.nl/ssp/ssp.htm). To
email me personally, put the word "gatch" in the subject line to keep
the mail out of the spambox. (In good weeks, I get 200 spam mails a
week. In bad weeks, I get 400 spam mails a week. Not kidding.)
